It was handmade and hand-crafted by Mater Hirabayashi and his production team in Japan. 20th Century.
Cloisonné is from the French word meaning "compartments." Cloisonné is a way to make patterns of enamel on metal by putting the enamels in compartments on a metal surface and filling them with colored enamel.
Cloisonne originated from ancient Egypt B.C. and later passing to Europe and passed down to Japan through Silk Road. Many years later, the technology has been polished in history over a long time.
Today, they take pride in the world by using traditional Cloisonne crafts to represent Japan.
