This Stylus Pressure Gauge Was Designed For Vinyl Record Purist'S Looking For A Gauge Capable Of Accurate Record-Level Measurement Of Vtf. When The Vtf Gauge Is Used With The Detachable Cantilevered Extension Arm, Vtf Is Measured Approximately 3 Mm From The Surface Of The Turntable Platter, Close To The Height Of A Stylus Tip Resting On An Lp Record (Lp'S Have A Typical Thickness Range Of 1.9 Mm To 2.9 Mm). The Tracking Force Gauge Has A Resolution Of 0.005 G - Providing Precise Vtf Measurement. To Reduce Interaction With Magnets In Mm And Mc Cartridges, The Casing Of The Vtf Gauge Is Manufactured From Durable Plastic; The Detachable Stainless Steel Cantilevered Extension Arm Is Made From A Non-Ferromagnetic Grade Of Stainless Steel. Two Masses, 20 G And 5 G, Are Included For Gauge Re-Calibration (A Straightforward 1-Minute Procedure) And To Allow Verification Of Gauge Readings Prior To Vtf Measurement. With A Larger Calibration Mass, The Gauge Can Be Calibrated For Use Up To 100 G.
