It is easier to have a look at this work of art than to describe it! I’ll start by saying there are three Kachinas on a slab of wood. The tall one most likely the male (15”) and next to him the female and the third likely a family member. Jim hand carved these and then painted them using tribal pictures to guide him through authentic designs. I visited Jim and he had an entire room devoted to shelves of display hundreds of dolls he carved from many reservations all over the States. Protectors on bottom, but no signature or date!
