The Chief CMS440P2 is a suspended ceiling kit that makes it straightforward to mount a projector or other AV device above a standard ceiling tile while adding built-in surge protection. It replaces a single tile, creating a stable platform that accepts any Chief extension column or 1.5-inch NPT accessory.

At the heart of the kit is a dual gang electrical housing that carries SurgeX multi-stage filtration. This technology shields sensitive electronics from harmful spikes and line noise yet allows full power pass-through because the design does not limit current. An LED indicator confirms when the circuit is live, and the non-sacrificial architecture means there are no modules to replace after a surge event.

Installers will appreciate the WireVice Cable Suspension System and the included TwisTile Cutter. These tools let a single technician cut the ceiling tile, hang the frame, and fine-tune height using the 20-foot strand wire. A 10-foot safety cable adds another layer of protection once the device is in place.
