Betts Tyzac Series Cast Net
Cast netting is one of the oldest methods of fishing, shrimping or catching bait. When selecting a net you should determine to use:
- What do I want to catch (Size of mesh and net)
- How deep is the water (Weight of net)
- The length of net (Radius) is related to water deptch, kind of bait/shrimp, and speed of bait
For Bait Size:
- 1" to 2" use 1/4" mesh
- 2" to 5" use 3/8" mesh
- 5" to 12" use 1/2" mesh
- 6" to 10" use 5/8" mesh
- 8" to 12" use 3/4" or 1" mesh
Water Depth:
- Shallow 2-5' use Betts Tyzac Series Net
- Medium 2-8' use Betts Hi Tider Series Net
- Deep 2-10' use Betts Old Salt Net
