The APC ACDC2551 is a depth adapter for the NetShelter EcoAisle system that links cabinets measuring from 600 to 750 millimeters in depth. By sealing the space between racks, it creates a contained path for air, so cold supply air reaches the servers and hot exhaust air stays isolated.

Active Flow Control monitors equipment load and regulates airflow automatically. When demand is low, fans slow down, trimming energy use. When demand rises, cooling ramps up instantly, giving you consistent inlet temperatures without manual adjustment.

A dedicated return plenum moves hot air straight back to room cooling units or external air handlers. This predictable path helps facility teams balance capacity, delay costly upgrades, and maintain a stable environment for critical hardware.

Safety is addressed through an optional Fire Safe System. If heat or smoke is detected, ceiling panels drop, allowing facility suppression systems to reach the protected area. Integrated LED lighting with motion sensors illuminates the aisle only when someone is present, improving visibility and saving power.

The adapter installs quickly on both 42U and 48U NetShelter SX cabinets, so it works in enterprise data centers, hosted colocation spaces, or edge computing rooms that need better thermal performance without a full rebuild. Its modular design means you can add it to a single rack during a maintenance window or scale it across an entire row as your layout evolves.
